Worth visiting!

Small town, nice people.

I was visiting a friend during summer of ‘02. Just about all there was to do there was go hiking and shop around at stores and market places. Oh yea, we also drove around with a bb-gun and shot at cows, which was actually really fun. What made this trip fun was seeing a good friend of mine… And shooting the cow in the ass with the bb-gun. XD

Lawton sucks but not as bad as cache apache and all the other little towns. You guys need to support the music scene start going to the local shows.

Its alright.

Living in Lawton isn’t the best but I call it home. Nothing to do here really. To many gangs to much crime and not enough police officers. But you live here for 16 years and leave you get called back because its home.

Lived there for 2 years when I was married to my exhusband and he was in the Army. My oldest daughter was born at Ft. Sill. It’s an Army town. Not much else can be said about it. Nothing to do.. at all. A lot of bars (obviously there for the single military boys). Other than catching a movie, about the only other thing to do is go out and watch the buffalo roam.

It's Ok to live here, but.....

It’s as nice city as any, but it’s not the mecca of life as we know it. It has it’s restaurants, good schools (and my daughter attends one of the best in Oklahoma), and it has its usual stuff (mall, library, pet shops, doctors, shopping, we have our own newspaper, etc.). But THAT IS IT – for a place that has about 100,000 people in it, it doesn’t have ANY, and I mean ANY, entertainment (unless you count going to the movies entertainment). It’s main source of entertainment is the bar scene, and if there is anything going on, it’s because it has to do with something else going on(usually requiring you be apart of that “first going on” to be apart of it). I like to do things with my family, to do things most families do in the US (going to work, going to school, eating out, etc.), so that leaves us out of most of what’s going on here.
