This museum has a reputation for not having any of Picasso's by onebaygirl

great works. My advice is to go and see what you think. Aside from Picasso’s First Communion, there weren’t any works I was familiar with, but I still thought they were worth viewing. I enjoyed seeing his early works and how his styles changed later on. My boyfriend said he enjoyed Picasso’s earliest works more than any other Picassos he was familiar with, so go and decide for yourself!

awesome by LeoDesi

This museum is tucked away in a little alley in Barcelona- it’s so easy to miss. In the U.S. there would be tons of signs pointing the way. In Spain it is seriously just another amazing museum tucked away in the midst of the beautiful city. Worth seeing if you are in Spain n a Picasso fan. I love the paintings from the blue period and my favorite Picasso painting is there – The Piano.

Unfortunatly by Adrastea72

Yes, I have been there, and if youre a fan of Picasso like I am, you will learn, like I did, that the best Picasso paintings are scattered throughout the great museums around the world. This museum houses the left overs… so it would be a let down.. I suggest the Stuttgart Stadtgalerie in Stuttgart, Germany. A wonderful museum.

(sorry for being negitive)

The entire museum is housed in a Gothic palace, and the architecture is stunning (as is typical of the rest of the buildings of Barcelona.) I love that it’s somewhat tucked away, hidden in a small-ish alley of the Gothic quarter. The collection spans a good selection of Picasso’s work, from his drawings as a child prodigy to his variations on Velazquez’s Las Meninas (my personal favorite of the museum.) Have a great time!

of course it’s worth doing. any opportunity to see picasso paintings is worth it. i will say that there are far better collections of his work out there, especially at Reina Sofia, but it’s still all about Picasso!
