Wasilla

Wasilla definately suits a certain person. Most of the people within Wasilla have to drive about an hour into Anchorage for work. Wasilla is a small town but is growing. It’s also not very appealing to the eyes. Seems dry, and there is always little snow.

The Valley is sort of thought of as a burden by Anchorage. And it’s not uncommon for people in Wasilla to be called referred to as trash.

Personally, I have no reason to go to Wasilla. There is nothing there that interests me. Subway? McDonalds? A lake? The Cadillac Cafe?

There are some places about hour out of Wasilla that I would go to, but those can be enjoyed without having to even make a pitstop in Wasilla.

We found this to be a much more enjoyable place to stay than Anchorage. It has the advantage of getting you closer to the outdoor action and interesting sites like Independence Mine and Hatcher Pass. If you stay at one of the places on Lake Lucielle you’ll love it.

We moved to Wasilla from Anchorage last year after buying our first house… we love it here!
