In a world of star ratings when it comes to hotels and stuff, this ranks a 7 in my list!BellaRoca has been transformed from what was previously been called The Elephant Island, and what a transformtion indeed.It now looks like Santorini in Greece.No doubt the place has a mix of Mediterranean & exotic South East Asian flavor…and it helps that the General Manager is French!The place itself is divine….one can look oout of the window and have a majestic view of Mt.Malindig (which sits on te mainland of Marinduque itself, which is only a mere 5 minute boat ride away…and the boats are yacht-like,itself).The staff are very helpful and accomodating and honest too! Hubby and me once left the door to our room open and they refused to turn it down nor enter it without letting us know first.Now that’s unheard of.went there on Feb12-15,2010 and the place even though it had a lot of guests that time , we only see them during breakfast hours and early afternoons should we choose to hang out the main resto of the place.Privacy and luxury at a premium…without the price of Amanpulo.The food is very very good, and you will be spoilt with choices…book early enough and they will set up a very romantic lunch/dinner and you get ot have your own personal butler attending to your whims.It’s the service and warmth of the staff tha sets this place apart,and for us, no resort is worth going to after this.won’t rip you off with exorbitant rates for food and accomodation-it’s worth every cent you spend on it.it set our standard for resort and will be hard to beat by any other place in terms of pampering and atttentiveness of the staff;a definite must-go-to again place.one must book flights early to marinduque though-thru zestair or seair (not sure about the latter)
