Sligo

Sligo is like my second home. I used to date someone from Cloonacool (Co. Sligo) and I lived in Town and in the country when I stayed there (3 months at a time, a few times a year for 5 years).

I only want to cry when I think about it. This, Wonderful, peaceful place.

Spend as much time as you can there! Visiting is NOT enough. It grows on you and starts to feel like a warm sweater. :-)

I was there in 1988 or so for the Yeats International Poetry School.

I’ve haerd a lot about this place from my friends so can’t wait to come there…

Being a bit “Type A” myself, it was great to be in a place where there is no problem that can’t be solved over a pint of Guinness. Don’t put off a visit to Ireland…the place is changing, and is in danger of becoming like the rest of the world.
