Worth visiting!
I reconsidered my not worth it rating of the EMP after seeing Kinski at the Sky Church for their Bumbershoot performance yesterday. It was a 70% brilliant performance, with the final 30% unraveling a bit. But it wasn’t a disappointing unraveling (technical issues largely broke the pace of things). Kinski is not for everyone as evidenced by those who chose to leave after they realized it was a very loud, very heavy band without vocals. But it is an ambitous band and when things click in live performance Kinski is a powerful quartet.
This was one of my top 2 (if not top) performances of Bumbershoot 2005. The Sky Church was a great venue yesterday.
