Mirage Las Vegas

I liked the Mirage when I stayed in Sept. of 2007. I just wanted to mention that the Mirage is undergoing a renovation and some changes will be going on in 2008.
The Volcano was turned off in Feb of this year and is expected to be operational again at the end of October.
The indoor tiger habitat near the South entrance is closed. I’m assuming they are re-doing that whole entrance since the moving walkway was not working at all when I went. Tigers, dolphins and other animals can still be seen (for a fee) in the Secret Garden out past the pool.
I know the rooms are going to be updated, too, but don’t know the timetable on that. The original plan from back in 2005 said everything would be done by 2010, so I would guess they’ll be re-doing the rooms in sections.
That’s my 2 cents.

Stayed here in ‘99. Facilities, casino, etc are nice…room was just OK.

Presidents Day weekend in 2006, I saw Danny Gans that weekend.

I was there 2 weeks before the opening of Cirque du Soleil’s LOVE production. I♥Beatles

But I broke even at the roulette table after walking out of the Love show, so I’m staying positive about the hotel. =D

The Mirage is a nice hotel with a great location on the Strip. The rooms were nice and clean, staff was great, and we did pretty well in the casino. :) My now-husband and I fell in love on this particular stay in Las Vegas.

We stayed here while on our last vacation. It was great!

It was really pretty with lots of animals. You could even watch the dolphins under water.
