The first time I went to this place  — 1 month ago

I was in 8th grade and my grandmother (who lived there) just passed away. Mexican law says items must be removed from the home upon death or it will all be auctioned off. My parents, my brother and I lived there for 3 months while we settled her estate. I will NEVER forget my first impression of Mexico City and will NEVER forget the beauty of the arts college and the square in the center of town. I was struck then at the division of rich and poor and with the wells all over one side of town where the women washed clothing. I haven’t been back as an adult and am dying to go.

Why I want to go to this place  — 9 months ago

San Miguel de Allende reminds me of the city of Granada in Nicaragua. I would like to go to both.

San Miguel de Allende is one of the most fascinating places that I have ever been to. I lived there for a year, and I will definitely go back one day. It’s a place full of cultural diversity, and lots of interesting people. And Guanajuato (another beautiful place)is only two hours away by buss. Viva Mexico!

A great colonial and feature-rich city. Great for walking or just watching other people. It has a beautifull cathedral and lots of antiques stores.
