It’s surrounded by beautiful countryside with old castles and vineyards. Plus, Karl Marx birthplace (worth a visit—it’s really interesting).

Drove over the from France with a friend who had studied there. We went just for the Weinachsmarkt. In the end, we ended up getting really drunk and, well, it all ended pretty badly.

I dated an exchange student from there in high school and got a chance to visit – for a now anthropology student it was unbelievable to see all of the ruins around the countryside and in the city. There was a restaurant in the main plaza whom my ex’s parents owned, they had one of the oldest known Roman wells in the area in their back wine room – it was so cool to see history so close. (for an American anyway) I deffinatly recomend it, and would love to go back!

Well I only stayed here for one night, but I must say that the Kaiserthermen was awesome! I didn’t really get to talk to the people too much, or go out and party, but all in all, it was a gorgeous place!

I was about 10 years old when I went here on a weekend trip, it was my first time having fresh kettle corn.

If you go to Germany, you have to see Trier.

Since it’s a small city, there’s not that much to do, but plenty to occupy you for at least two or three days. (I was there for one.) I visited the Porta Nigra and the Christmas market. Lots of friendly people.

I live about half an hour to fourty five minutes away from here, it’s a good place to go shopping, they have a decent h&m and some pretty good resturants. The sites are okay too. And their Christmas market is decently large.
