Glace Bay

I grew up in Glace Bay, and I was one of many that left to get work. I am living in Toronto right now, but I really want to move back home, I may not end up right back in Glace Bay, But it is SO SAFE!!! I never had fears about being hurt or shot in the middle of the night, and everyone knew everyone there. I MISS THAT PLACE!! If you were never there GO SOAK IN THE PEACEFULNESS and the beaches, and just the overall friendly attitude that we all have down there_!!

Hanging out with my sister at her travel trailer there. It’s a bit desolate. The people are nice there, fierce, come from mining families. Not much going on there in terms of work now. The mines aren’t currently open. But people seem to make the best of what they’ve got. Certainly worth going to if you know someone there.

You can walk through downtown Glace Bay in 5 minutes. Some people may not really like that because there’s “nothing to do.” But it’s great. You can feel safe walking here at 4 in the morning. I didn’t grow up here but I call it my home.

it is my home,born and raised,it’s not new york city or even halifax for that matter but it is my home town and i love it,we have the best pizza i don’t care what anyone says,we have ABC take out,and Krisleys Chicken,WICKED,thats just the grub,we have a nice little town to shop in for little stuff and sydney is just a bus ride away and there is walmart,payless,claire’s and so much more.i know poeple around here hate it but it is my home and i deal with it,it’s cute and i love my hometown.
