Kava House

This is a great place for coffee and pastries, and I’m happy I work a block away from it. It has a great atmosphere – laid back, clean, nice colors, great music, and it’s great in the summer to sit outside in their “deck” area and people-watch. However generally I prefer to just get my coffee and go since every time I sit-in I feel like the little old man sitting at the next table is just staring into space as a front for listening to every conversation within ear-shot. And as a semi-private person I don’t really like that! But that’s also the way coffee shops just are, so that’s ok.

Its clean, relaxing, bright…the people are friendly and relaxed. Its a magical, warm, bright little place to go sit and lose yourself for a while.

I stopped by here the other day with a friend – but only to pass out some fliers. We did get a drink, but I would like to go back and get a really good drink or maybe some cocoa puffs and sit for at least a half an hour before I mark it off as a place I have been.

Clientele is mostly upper-middle class liberal yuppies, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The people seem cool and the drinks are reasonably priced.
