The Body Farm aka: University of Tennessee Anthropological Research Facility

As an undergrad in the anthro department at the University of Tennessee, I volunteered at the Forensic Research Facility, aka, the Body Farm. I spent most of my time at the on-campus lab, boiling down bodies that had finished their tour at the Body Farm.

I say it’s worth visiting because there’s no other place like it. Unfortunately, you can’t just walk in to the place. Your best bet is to do forensics research at UT, work for the FBI or write somewhat misleading forensics novels.
