Royal British Columbia Museum

OK! If u go to Victoria for sure u have to visit this museum….full of culture, art and interesting figures….what impressed me the most were the TOTEM POLES! Those giant wooden poles full of art and history1 I dont know why I feel they are very imposing from my point of view!!!
LOved the indigenous (or first nation) figures, pictures and art.
Totally worth visiting it!

I was a Junior Docent at the RBC Museum…I didn’t get paid, but I got a magical laminated card that let me get into the museum free whenever I want. I highly reccommend the IMAX theatre. It’s a little on the expensive side, but totally worth it. I’ve seen over 30 films there with my free pass, and every one stuns and amazes. The screen is huge, and the movie/documentary footage makes you feel like you’re moving with the camera. A great experience. So sit back, relax…and enjoy th magic of IMAX. :)

This is probably my favorite museum that I’ve been to so far.

The exhibit that simulates an undersea voyage is the best part of the whole place. It may be more dramatic than scientific, per se, but I have done it at least twenty times and would be pleased to do so again.

Well worth a few hours of your time when you visit Victoria.

I took a group of Girl Guides here last weekend. It was my second visit in a few years, but I still really enjoyed it.

Lots for everyone to see and enjoy here! Even if you aren’t into the special display they have on at the time, there is heaps of other stuff there to see. On Saturdays, they have volunteers who know a lot about the displays and can answer any questions you or the kids might have.

Among my favourite displays: the native artwork and masks, the totem poles, the Old Town, and the wolley mammoth!

Don’t miss it if you are in the city!

I went there, probably in 1999, for the DaVinci Exhibit with my friend Mike. That is a day I’ll remember and a day when I rediscovered my love for Chinese food. I hope Mike T. is out there somewhere enjoying life.
