I asked about four dozen people before I finally got a sound and clear answer.

He was, now as I’ve fit the pieces of the puzzle together, a man who took on the moonshining trade on from this folks. He amassed a little fortune, and along the way built up an embalming service, funeral home…He was the first Black man to have a telephone, to have a television, etc.

I never am done, am I? Anyway, still out of all the Blacks I know who live here, they don’t want to have anything to do with reform or just treatment.

Young people just seemed to have been spoiled.
