All I could do was giggle like a schoolgirl in his awe-inspiring presence. What a cool guy. What a cool bookstore.

What a cool bookstore. over 6 years agoUntitled by nycoleenI have always loved Book People, and I’ve always wanted to get a job there. I believe it is the largest local bookstore in Texas. I love reading about the birth of Book People in the Cafe where they have an oversized comic strip explaining how it came about. Dumb. by maozedI’m not really a Book People fan. The place is pretty expensive, and when Alton Brown came to do a book signing they weren’t admitting you unless you bought a book (the books were $40+). I would have given in and bought a book, but my friend already had one of his books and they still wouldn’t admit her unless she bought another one. I thought that was bullshit, so we left. over 6 years agoHighly Recommend by ambercatgoddessI love this place. I love it because it isnt just books here.. you find all kind of things filling up the spaces in between. Jewelry, scarves, tshirts, statues…you name it really. This is a place i could go for hours. hell if i could move in and never leave i would be happy and content. over 7 years agoSee all 10 entries |
