Albany

You should have been here before 1990. It was much nicer before all the idiots moved in.

went to school here. spent four years of my life commuting into this stupid, boring, pointless town. if you’re wanting to see the willamette valley of oregon, go to eugene, or corvallis, or portland. skip this place. it’s a dump. cute historical houses….. but a lot of meth.

If you come to Albany do it in the summer. Like most of Oregon it’s just wet the rest of the year.

Not cool enough to be Corvallis, not square enough to be Salem… it’s just in between.

Since Albany is located on the Wilamette River, we have lots of jet skis, motor boats, and even a few canoes now and then come through. We have a nice bed and breakfast downtown called the Train House Inn, and we also have an Amtrak station. Also, if you come around the 4th of July, we have a little something called River Rhytms at the Montieth Riverpark. There’s music, food, and of course, the fireworks. All in all, Albany is a really nice little town.
