But I kid fellow installations in the UC chain. Anyway, UCSC — great but I think if you have a car there you are marked for death. (Not that my sis cared when she attended, she loves biking — and not that I care, I don’t have a car by choice!) over 5 years agonot so great by meg1064The campus is dark and wet. The deer are really sickly looking. It’s very spread out and most of the time you are walking you can’t see past the trees. The bridges through the trees are beautiful but…. I do feel the aesthetics are overrated. over 5 years agoNo campus like it by TajLVThe classrooms and dorms have been beautifully integrated into the environment, amid redwoods and oaks, on a plateau overlooking Santa Cruz and the Pacific. Every morning on the way to breakfast, we’d see wild deer. Nature abounds. What an idyllic place to study. And the group I was with played volleyball every evening after dinner until dark. Fond memories. Worth visiting and attending. over 5 years agoSuch a beautiful place! by PolarmouseI loved living at UCSC (Porter College)!
