Take the car here
The drive here is so beautiful it will make you cry. We went in October when all of the leaves were turning, but missed the fields of sunflowers which I can only imagine were breathtaking. The city itself offered a great view and plenty of alabaster, but I would have taken the trip just to see the country side. Hit this and San Gimignano on the same day.

Mountain View
Worth visiting!
The drive there is dramatic.
The town is impressive, on the crest of a hill and just so old. The roman ruins were not great but getting lost along the winding streets. The road there was a little more open with wider curves and expansive views. We were blasting along in a BMW looking far out across the countryside with other hilltop Tuscan towns.
