wow, I finally got here!

It was exciting to see the 3d movie of the satellite images of the sun, after recently hearing about them on the radio.

The immunology exhibition confirmed the view that the more complex the science, the more didactic, the less interactive, and ultimately less satisfying the experience becomes. Perhaps this was partly because I already knew everything there was to be taught on the subject.

I loved the Islamic Science exhibition – finally admitting how much European science and medicine learnt from the Islamic world.

My friend loved the giant nose that sneezes as you pass it.

One of the more polished but more expensive of the science centres out there. Pretty good, if that’s what you are after. I had a great day there, anyway.

A rumor about this place

Please note that our building is CLOSED for construction.
Re-opening July 2007…the “new” Liberty Science Center opens its doors to the public for the first time in 22 months after major expansion and renovation… LIBERTY SCIENCE CENTER IS NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AT THIS TIME.

Guess that puts a dampener on my plans of going there tomorrow. That and the 3-4 trains + 1 bus it would take me to get there

How this place changed my life

Actually, it’s the humane shelter that’s just down the road from the science center…just outside the parking lot. Take a visit. Walk a dog. Donate!

Why I want to go to this place

Now that I finally have a space on my 43place, I thought I should add something a little more realistic.

I like science centres, I used to work at one (Questacon) and I’ve been to the Science Museum in London when I was a kid, and now the Hall of Science in Queens .
