Mentor Headlands Beach

I live close to Mentor. The beach is great, especially in the evening. But, last time i went the shore was covered in dead fish. Yuck.

The first time I went to this place, I had so much fun swimming, playing volleyball, and laying in the sun that I got sun/heat stroke! I didn’t realize how hot it was, and how I had been in the sun all day without shade or much water to drink. The next day, I woke up to go to work (sunburned RED skin with blisters!) and I was so dizzy and sick to my stomach that I fell on the floor. I did not know what was wrong until I was at the hospital with IV fluid running into my arm!

A huge beach with a lighthouse to boot! There’s enough space that you can enjoy the beach without being crowded. You can swim here without the annoying lifeguards (there is a lifeguard section but also a non-lifeguard section). You can walk out to the lighthouse on the rocks. 9601 Headlands Road Mentor, OH 44060
