Stevenage

Ok, so there aren’t masses of things to do in Stevenage but it is very close Knebworth house where a number of concerts have been held. 3 Years ago hundreds of thousands of people decended for the fantastic Robbie Williams concert and over the years Oasis, Queen and Pink Floyd have also played there.

Housing, the local parks, restaurants and some of the leisure facilities could be a lot worse. I am happy to live here and think there are many places that are less pleasant.

Well, I grew up here in the 70’s-80’s.

it was a boring shithole then. Now there is a cineplex (for years there was nothing) a shopping/ boozing park (is it legal to have private security guards at a railway station? even on a Friday/ Saturday night??) more houses, even more prams and still 99.9% white. not that I care about race but c’mon – diversity is a wonderful thing (he says from the heart of London).

sigh…

if you are that curious about it, get a train from London to Newcastle or York or somewhere. If you’re lucky you’ll get to go through it at the appropriate speed. If it stops then just keep a hold on your belongings.
