Enchanted Rock State Natural Area

When I was 8 and 9 I lived in San Antonio – my family would come out to Enchanted rock for day hikes at least three times a month. One of my fondest memories of Texas is going hiking here.

Staying at the Dabb’s Hotel and going to Enchanted Rock and the Llano River. Some of the most fun times you’ll ever have :)

This is an excellent park to visit, specially if you are looking for some very physical activity. It takes about 20-30 minutes to reach the top, depending on your shape. There are overnight camping facilities and free showers in the restrooms!

Just one thing though- DO NOTTRY TO CLIMBTHISROCK IN MIDDAYDURINGTHEMONTH OF AUGUSTWHENTHETOP OF THEROCKREACHESTEMPERATURES OF 120 DEGREES AT TIMES!
