The first time I went to this place
Not really that easy to find, but good lord was this building fascinating. I stood outside for twenty minutes trying to figure it all out. The disorienting feeling of the uneven mosaic floors beneath your feet in the entry was really interesting.
There were excellent exhibitions of David LaChapelle and Helmut Newton’s large scale photography, well-presented and quiet even on a summer Friday afternoon. Café was nice too actually.

A feast for your eyes...
The colors, the patterns, the textures are all so much to take in and it is a very worth while visit. Also stop by the Hundertwasser museum near by – it has the bumpy floors you can walk across and more of the similar architecture.
Make sure you walk around to the front too!

Why I want to go to this place
Can’t believe I’ve been to Vienna twice and missed out on going here both times. Unfinished business.

It was a good thing that I was here as a child
because I still had the imagination to get it. Although I found the sloping floors to be very unnerving.
I’d like to see what I think of it as an adult – whether I love it as much, or just feel dizzy.
