Hendersonville

Beware of racists. My mom hired a Black woman at her day care center and several people pulled their kids out. And sadly, after living here for a year, I came to expect that sort of thing from people. I found out the truth about “Southern Hospitality” here. That is, when people in the south are really nice to you, they’re usually overdoing it to make up for the fact that they have no respect for you. Maybe because you’re not White, or you’re a Yankee, or you’re not the son of a rich country music record producer. Just rub them the wrong way, and the nastiness beneath is revealed.

I live in Hendersonville. If you are looking for a great suburb to make home in the Nashville area, I recommend H’ville. If you are looking for a vacation stop on a trip… pass this one. Not much here of interest for “tourists”.

I took a detour on a road trip to visit Johnny Cash’s grave here. It was worth it.

Well I know its a great city because I do live here.
