Broken Hill

Well saying I want to go here is stretching the truth a little. More to do with other things going on in my life rather than the place itself.

Regardless, Sunday night I fly there for a month. Most of the time will be spent in communities outside of BH, so getting back to town will be like going to the “big smoke”. Going to be an interesting 4 weeks.

I should have experienced culture shock when I moved over from Sri Lanka. I didn’t.

The people here are so nice and welcoming. I remember the hot (read very very hot) summers, doing laps (in the car and in the pool), hanging out at Phil’s and Chris’, the theatre 44.

when i was 9, to visit my grandfather. can’t remember much.
