    Not worth it!

I had no idea there was a sea in CA until I stumbled upon it a couple of weeks ago while driving to Salvation Mountain (which is totally worth a look). My friend and I got out of the car to investigate the sea and it smelled SO bad and there were THOUSANDS of fish skeletons all over the place. It was so gross

I took a lot of cool photos there.

This was a pretty desolate place… It stinks and I don’t understand why people go there.

    Not worth it!

This rates in my top 5 most horrible travel experiences. My Dad stopped here with my sister and I on our way to San Diego when I was about 12 or 13. He didn’t realize this is a dead sea with no feeding rivers. I lost my taste for pimento cheese spread after we made sandwiches for dinner out of it since the local “bar and grill” was hardly a place for children. We had a two room suite in the local motel. One double bed had a leopard print spread, the other a purple tiedye spread, each with multiple DNA samples. I remember not letting my sister walk on the carpet barefoot.

Looking back, it would be a cool place to visit if you were a photograper, or were interested in some really, really cheap realestate. I just wouldn’t want to stay the night there.
