Worth visiting!
Got married in Quedlinburg!!!
Following a bit of a family tradition, my husband (who is Mexican) and I got married in Quedlinburg in 2004 (my parents in 1963). Quedlinburg is a truly picturesque, medieval town with a special architecture, called “Fachwerkhäuser”/half-timbered house. These are houses that have wooden beams in the fassade of the houses. There are more than 1000 houses of this type in Quedlinburg and even the oldest one in all Germany. We got married in the town-hall, which looks spectacular in summer and ate at the “Ratskeller”, the restaurant in the cellar of the town-hall. Very recomendable!!! Take a stroll up to the cathedral and the castle and be impressed with the view. The close-by Harz mountains make for great day-trips as well.
