Rocky Mountain House

it was amazing drive up.

I grew up in the northwest corner of Montana an area that David Thompson had explored before Lewis and Clark made their trip west. Rocky Mountain House was one of his bases, for his trading trips west from Montreal and his exploration for a river route connecting to the Columbia and the Pacific Ocean. I’d like to see Rocky Mountain House because of its connection to David Thompson, he’s an un-sung Canadian hero who’s accomplishments were above and beyond what Lewis and Clark did and he often was alone and without the support of a troop of soldiers.
