Why I recommend this place to visitors
I would recommend this city to people to see the other side of life. If you live in America and think life is hard here, then think again. A real Eye opener. Beautiful and amazing in architecture.Houses that line hills from top to bottom, and an amazing market place to get any of the daily needs. Also a must is to visit the Church there. But for the most part I would recommend coming here for is an educational learning experience of how people get by with absolutely nothing.

It depends on what you want!
If you are visiting Nogales to get a flavour of Mexico then forget it.
It is a sleazy touristy border town, lots of people trying to earn a buck or two out of the tourists. It is full of people trying to sell you illicit prescription drugs that are much cheaper in Mexico than in the USA.
Border controls to get back in to the USA are very strict – make sure you have your passport with you, and dont carry even one asprin with you as you will be there for hours otherwise.

A tip I have about this place
Not worth it unless you simply want cheap booze, trinkets, and dirty thrills. Way to stereotypical border-town.

Fun in Mexico
My only trip to Mexico lasted a few hours. I drove with a friend from Phoenix to see what it was like. I was amazed at how easy it was to get into the country. There was absolutely no security. We passed through a turn-style, just like we were going to a ball game. there was a big sign with an arrow that said “To Mexico”. I wish I had a picture of it. It was what I had imagined a border town to be, but I left with a pretty sweet chess set that was made from carved wood & bone. I’d go back
