Treatments were great - facilities only ok by MFM
The view is certainly grand as you can see the snow capped peak of Mt Monadnock from the drive but the facilities need some work. The “spa” was downstairs with some work out equipment on a carpeted stage-like area and no dressing room or lockers? There were 2 bathrooms with no locks that were used by men and woman who just sort of walked through with no warning and neither of the 2 showers had any extra towels or products available. When I tried to pull the curtain closed it fell off in my hand!
So – we walked around in our robes clutching our purses and left our clothes on the floor in the bathroom while we checked out the sauna. My services were done by Paul who was professional and wonderful. It started with a salt rub which is oil and salt that is rubbed all over your skin that is then rinsed off so you feel soft and smooth.
From there I had a 60 minute massage that was excellent and left me limp and relaxed. While I was drifting off after the massage he did a mini facial – basically cleansing then a mask with a hot towel then moisturizer.
The treatments were wonderful and I would go again for that alone.
We had some wine and cheese for my friend’s birthday after our treatments. However – instead of seating us somewhere we could enjoy the view, we were sitting on wicker right in front of the workout equipment with no windows? Atmosphere and facilities left much to be desired.
