Touted as the original sunset café and first established in 1980. It was designed by a Catalan architect by the name of Lluis Géell. Since it’s opening, the sunsets and atmosphere of this place have been unprecedented. It’s a truly unique place in the world. Much of their hype has come from their ambient music compilations. A must-visit in Ibiza!

its true what they say, ibiza has magical properties and this isn’t just drug fuelled nonsense. i’m lucky enough to have been many times from the late 80’s and 90’s to recent years and it just gets better. chilling out outside cafe del mar around the sunset is absolutely fantastic – it should be on everyones 43things
