Squire Park

Fairly quiet residential neighborhood close to a lot of great things to do and places to see. I’m near the southwest corner of the neighborhood and therefore very close to the International District and Capitol Hill (lots of favorite haunts here). Plus the half-hour walk to and from work (Downtown) gives me an automatic cardio workout every day!

I used to live in this neighborhood. Although it is rapidly shifting towards its expensive neighbor Capitol Hill, it still has a family-oriented and community feel, along with the best Ethiopian restaurants in the city. A short walk into the International District and close to First Hill.

A great neighborhood within walking distance of many of my favorite Seattle places. It’s a 30 minute walk to Pike Place Market, a 5-10 minute walk from the 12th & Pike corridor where you can go to a show at Neumos or Chop Suey, grab coffe at Cafe Vita, shop at Trader Joes or Madison Market and hand out at Cal Anderson Park. The list goes on.

I always hear from locals who visit that they didn’t realize there was this little quiet neighborhood tucked away next to the action of Capitol Hill and Downtown with all sorts of big trees and good housing. I really dig it here.
