The Dakota

I stood outside the doorway where Lennon was shot a few weeks ago. It was chilling. I wonder what went through the mind of MDC on that day. I wonder why he did what he did and why he took this wonderful man from us. I wonder what John would have created in the 80s and I wonder how the world might be just a little bit brighter if he had. I wonder these things and I weep, although I didn’t know him personally, I loved him and I miss him dearly.

last time i was in NYC (xmas 05) my mother and i walked over to the Dakota/Strawberry Fields because in all our years of visiting Manhattan we had never been…..anyway, we are standing outside of the Dakota talking about John and whatnot, when who comes strolling out of the entrance but Sean Lennon!!!!

everything was in slow motion——he looked just like his father, the scruffy beard the tiny glasses——everything!!! we were absolutely in shock, it was like seeing a ghost. i’ll never forget that day.
