- get the funicular! Enjoy wandering through the Old Town and don’t forget to visit the Fisherman’s Bastion lookout with its 7 turrets. Of course, great views – especially of the Parliament building (which reminded me of home, as its design was apparently modelled on the Houses of Parliament).

I spent a week in Budapest in the summer of 2002 and I swear, I must have found a reason to go up to the castle hill every day! You have a great view of the city, there are several museums up there and there is a little market place that sells all sorts of cool handicrafts.
