Rishikesh

Very religious !! must visit

3 years ago we 4 friends with our 2 bikes have been to rishikesh. it took 6 hrs from delhi via Merut – Roorki – Haridwar. we were already late for departure. we reached at Haridwar 7pm in the evening and decided to stay there. And next day (Holi- Indian Festival) in the morning we left for Rishikesh. it took hardly 1 hr. And i must say its a really nice drive from Haridwar to Rishikesh. Driving bike on the hill its really amazing experience. Then we reached on the bank of the Ganges and enjoyed our Holi festival with colors.
That was my unforgetable journey in my life.

The place is not yet crushed by tourists….calm & with a small-town ambience…
An evening sitting on the banks of Ganges can be very rejuvenating…defintely worth a visit.

I went there for the first time to do river rafting.
I think the place is magical.
Take a dip in Ganga and you will know why generations of Hindus worship it.
I wish one day i could buy a place nearby and grow old there.

i am here every opportunity i get .. great place to wash the dust of Delhi away .. and thanks to the guys at camp Rapidfire questrails.com
