Durbuy

My father in law is a sculptur, and his work was on display during the Durbuy sculpture festival. So naturally we stopped by the town.
It’s a cute town, narrow cobblestone streets, small river etc. But there are a lot of people, restaurants and bars bulging with tourists. I wouldn’t visit here again.

They say Durbuy is the smallest town in the world. I don’t know if it’s true, but it is definitely the smallest one in Belgium. Surrounded by mountains (the Ardennes), it is very picturesque. A must to see!

It’s charming, if a bit touristy. If you have time to spend in Belgium, it might be worth seeking out more authentic medieval towns than Durbuy, but if you’re on a schedule it’s well worth a visit. Try for summer, and hope for a sunny day.
