Mussoorie

Mussoorie is a former British hill station in the foothills of the Himalayas, located in the new state of Uttaranchal Pradesh. It is where the Indian side of my family is from so I have been visiting there since birth. It’s a place of beauty, fresh mountain air, lush green forests, quiet hideaways, nature tours and more. You’ll see monkeys everywhere! My family has a shop in Sister’s Bazaar that has been selling homemade jams, peanut butter and cheddar cheese for eons (okay not eons but for generations). We also have a cute little “hotel” (more like an inn) called Devdar Woods that has some awesome pizza and is just a great, quiet place to stay all around.
