Houma

When i met hubby, he lived in louisiana. i moved down there, we got married, and lived in Houma. Sometimes i miss the humid nights and sights and sounds of the bayou. Southern Louisiana will always have a piece of my heart.

To someone who has never been to Houma and Terrebonne Parish, it is a very intriguing place to visit, filled with culture, great music, food and PLENTY of attractions define what Louisiana is famous for.

I guess the $96 million that visitors spent in Houma last year wasn’t worth it either….Tourism is the third largest industry in Houma.

And because of last year’ storms, that industry is hurting. I think all Louisiana residents should be encouraging people to visit our state.

Houma isn’t that great. There isn’t much to do. The people aren’t that great. You can get drunk, loaded, or laid.

This is where my mother-in-law lived and I went down there for the funeral. The weather was not great, but of course it was January. It was still in the 60Fs (15C), but it rained most of the time.

It is still a very nice place though.

Mmm, did not know you could narrow it down to a town. But like I said in my entry about Louisiana, Houma is where my mother-in-law lives.
