Fort Rock

Many interesting volcanic features in Fort Rock region, plus old lake shorelines to explore. Birding here is great! Be sure to visit nearby Cabin Lake and Sand Springs in the summer and fall for close views of wildlife and birds. Fort Rock General Store and Gallery has gasoline, groceries, and camping supplies. They also have maps and information about local road conditions. Phone 541.576.2225. Fort Rock also has an interesting Homestead Museum with a collection of old buildings saved from the late 1880s and early 1900s. Google for their website which has hours and contact information.
