Perhaps the best “gaufres” (French waffles) in the entire world are made here…on the beach…when you’re cold, you just get one fresh from the iron mould…and it tastes like heaven… it’s a very movie-like place…kind of melanchonic..and fascinating…

I was here in the winter. It was dead. There is an extremely wide stretch of beach, and not one person was on it. Very beautiful, just the way I like a beach to be. Peaceful, tranquille. I think my dog ran 2 kilometers down the beach and back without stopping. I don’t know who liked it more, me, or my dog.
The buildings were very nice, and kind of had this ritzy 1960’s movie feeling to them – at least to me – it was the first European beach I had ever seen. Maybe they are all like that.
