Tooting

Only really moved here because Streatham (my original choice) was reported to have a bit of a subsidence problem, but it turned out to be a smashing place to start a family.

In the days when I could afford to eat out, it was pretty much all curry, but these days there’s the excellent Pizzeria Sette Bello, Rick’s Cafe, Sila plus some cool bars and Baboosh for breakfasts and lunches.

Parking and flytipping can be a bit of a problem, but it’s turned into a great little community over the last 10 years or so.

The common is lovely, and around Tooting Broadway there are some lovely markets.
