Hilton Waikoloa Village

Dreamy location, great construction but over the Hilton’s ability to maintain it? Hilton really got it right when they bought this place but can they maintain such a paradise. The service was average, some of the restaurants were great in the Village. Hilton has added some larger vacation properties here. If you golf then you are in luck. If you just want to swim and spa even better. Look past all the questions of maintenance issues and just enjoy the trade winds with a Mai Tai.

Watch out for the time share salespeople. They’ll start a friendly conversation and the next thing you know you’re telling them “no” 14 different times.

This place isn’t my idea of a vacation. It’s big and loud and kind of obnoxious. I prefer to stay up the coast a little farther, where it’s quieter and not so much like Disney. Perhaps I’d feel differently if I had children?

It is like an island of it’s own! I will upload pics later. Three seperate towers and all are like museums. Awesome pool with falls and a water ride!! Great place to take a vacation!!!

This place is a monster resort…be prepared to do a lot of walking if your room isn’t near the lobby. Or you can take the monorail…just like at Disney. This place is great though…a fantastic place to serve as a base while you explore the Big Island. Be sure to catch the best sunset at A-Bay…right at the entrance to the Waikoloa resorts. :)
