Fort Lewis aka: FT Lewis,FT. Lewis

I went to WLC here, and it was the WORST military school I’ve ever attended. The classes were a waste of time, and most of the instructors were wannabe Drill Instructors.

However, the area is really nice. The training area was something out of Middle Earth. I wish I had a camera for the field exercise, which is something I usually bring.

I’d love to go back as a tourist.

What a great place to be assigned! I lived here during the grunge era, so living in close proximity to Seattle was a stroke of luck.

We used to go there all the time when I was a kid as my father was retired military. I took my mother there on Monday to take care of some paperwork. I was worried about standing in long military lines and having to wait for hours, but we got there early and things were completed quickly. I would only go there when I have to.

I didn’t like it there, but I did become an officer while I was there, so it’s an ok trade off!
