My new home!!!

I just moved into the neighbourhood this week.

There are 8 billion fresh fruit and veg shops, and everybody tries speaking polish to me but not to my roommates for some reaons (maybe because I am fair skinned and fair haired). The streets are actually lined with trees, weird for New York.

Last night I went on a date here. It was kinda cool. Some guy yelled at us ‘I hope you’re not thinking of jumping over that fence’ as we stood by the river looking over manhattan. We weren’t thinking of it, it was like 12 feet high with barbed wire, and I was wearing a skirt. We went to a thai restaurant and the pencil bar thingy (or whatever it is called).

I love my new apartment, yay :)

Lived here

You don’t have to speak Polish but it sure helps.

My Greenpoint Experience

Just moved in the area. Pretty quiet area. Haven’t been out much to explore. Very convenient, close to bus and subway. Close to Manhattan and Queens.

The longest I have lived in one neighborhood

Sad, but true, I like Greenpoint. I’m not Polish and have lived in several other NY neighborhoods including UES and Cobble Hill, but I like this place a lot. Greenpoint has cheap rent, cheap food, and finding a parking spot is never a problem. It’s far from the train, though.
