Savonlinna aka: Nyslott

I want to see Savonlinnan ooperajuhlat :-)

savonlinna is my home town and i think it has more to offer than opera festivals.for example funny soundig competititions like mobile-throwing and lörtsy-eating :D
and for tip, remember 29th July, it´s the day when this town has a birthdays ;)

Opera festival in 2001 was great and the old hotel just outside the city (in Rauhalinna) was charming and staying there was an experience by itself, somehow it matched the mood.

I used to live here for 3 years. I’d say that Savonlinna is like a bear who sleeps all winter, just then to be able to celebrate all summer:) If your going to Savonlinna go in the summer time. And be sure you visit Punkaharju on your way there, it’s worth it!
