The food alone makes this place worth going to. I recommend Big Mouths for lunch, Coffee Hound for Coffee, and either Chicken Boxty at Maggie Miley’s Pub, or Mongolian Beef from Mandarin Garden House for dinner.

I moved here in 1975 when I was 7. Have been here since. Be it ever so humble, it is home. I liked it more before the population explosion started in the 90’s. In 1975, I believe the population of Bloomington-Normal was about 70,000- now its 125,000. Thats just more people getting in my way… :-þ

Normal was the home of the very first Steak N Shake restaurant.
I visited ISU once when I was in high school and it seemed pretty cool.

I used to work in Normal, at Wal-Mart. I’m glad I got out of Illinois, though I do miss the people I left and don’t mind visiting. But, I want to see the world!
