Jenolan Caves

I found it beautiful but the most interesting part was the realisation of how old they are… and how they were created and the fact that aborigines stayed away from them because they were pitch black inside n thought that they were created by the devil or something… Really awesome

my freinds have a property just off jerong road. my other half and i head up to the farm every chance we get. just before you hit the caves and national parks, if you know the right farmers, you can find some bloody big pigs. last chritsmas we went up and caught a few that were destroying famers sheep, they were not the biggest boars out but they were big enough to do damage to the sheep heard and to the land they dug up around the dams. i dont recommend every one try it but i love it

i love jenolan but haven’t been there i quite a while – maybe a nicy cosy weekend away when it starts getting a bit colder? i don’t know, i just feel like getting away somewhere for a couple of days. city life’s getting to me
last time i went on one of the adventure caving tours – abseiling, crawling through impossibly small holes – it was great. problem is i wouldn’t want to drive down the road to get in there…

Awesome, but less so than 100 years ago. Listening to the guides makes you want to go back in time and throttle the idiot Victorian tourists who vandalized the crap out of the caves for souvenirs.
