El Cerrito

My boyfriends grandmother lives in El Cerrito and when we were in the SF area we visited. Her house is beautiful and is on the top of a giant hill and the view of the Golden Gate from the bedroom I was sleeping in was beautiful!

The more well known El Cerrito is in Northern California by Berkeley and the lesser known El Cerrito is in Southern California by Corona. Neither are worth visiting, just a small FYI. There is also in LA suburbs the city of Cerritos, which many people confused for El Cerrito when I lived up north and mentioned the city.

Only worth it if you get invited to a party there! Nothing else to recommend it, really.

I moved to El Cerrito from Berkeley about 4 years ago. It’s an ok kind of sleepy place, but it tends to be cloudlocked more than anywhere else I’ve been in the the East Bay. But I’m biased – I’m moving away shortly, back to New Mexico.
