Champs Elysées

...I really found it worth visiting the Champs Elysees was at Christmas, when every tree is covered in lights – it really is magical. Any other time I’ve just felt harrassed and claustrophobic.

Great location, great shopping, lovely food, and the beautiful Arc de Triomphe at the end.
Chez Clement is a nice place to eat it’s quirky, cheap and has friendly staff.
I didn’t go up on the Arc but I bet you would have a lovely view of the Champs Elysees and the Seine.
If you have cash to burn then shop away, but it’s also nice to just take a walk from one end to the other. We went when all the Christmas lights were up and it looked amazing at night time.
The shops stay open late into the night so if you’re short on time then you can still manage to fit in a bit of shopping or relaxing after a day of sightseeing.

I loved this. The only thing I wish I’d done different was sit and people watch in one of the cafes.
But we did visit some of the expensive shops…just to browse!
