Mount Zaō aka: Mount Zao, 蔵王山, Zaō-san

I want to go back… the hot springs, crazy skiing adventures, guzzling hot chocolate and scarfing down churros apres ski, cute ryokans, soba noodles…

And hot toilet seat covers! Enough said. :)

On the border between Miyagi-ken and Yamagata-ken with huge ski runs and excellent hot springs. I drank local sake sitting in a rotenburo during a very light snowfall. The trees at the top of the mountain are covered in snow and chilled to ice. They are called snow monsters for good reason.
